To Create a Department, you must log in to your back office URL. Once logged in, click on Products and Departments from the left menu.
Click on Create to create a new Departments.
Fill out the Name and pick a color for this Departments. The picked color will be the color of the button on the Point of Sale app on the tablet.
Fields:
Name*:
Name of the Department.
Upload Department Image:
File uploaded will be shown on the button of this Department in the POS.
Taxes:
Selecting taxes will assign it to any product that will be under this department.
Age Verification:
Selecting this will add age verification to any product under this department.
Sold By Weight:
Selecting this will make any product under this department sold by weight.
Exclude EBT:
Selecting this will exclude ebt on all products under this department
Stay on Department Page:
can be used to toggle between yes and no to stay on the page.
Hide Department from POS:
If enabled hides the department from the Point of Sale.
Show in Online Ordering:
If enabled, this department will show up in Online Ordering Portal.
Department Sort:
Must be a number. It allows you to manage the display order of categories on the point of sale. Lower numbered categories will show up first.
Show in Online Ordering:
If enabled, this Department will show up in Online Ordering Portal.
Choose Background Color:
Select the color of the button.
Choose Text Color:
Select the color of the text on the button.
Click on Submit button to create the Department.
You will only see this Department in pos after attaching it to at least one product and syncing the terminal.
