Guide to Setting Up the Android Customer Display Tablet

Setting up a Customer Display for Octopos is a 3 part process:

  1. Unbox and Mount the CDS on stand

  2. Connect to Wifi.

  3. Configure IP address in Octopos

Unbox the Components

Begin by unboxing the Samsung tablet and the extended USB to Type-C cable.

Verify that you have the following items:

One customer display tablet

One DC Powered Hub

One extended Type-C charging cable

Connect the Cable

Connect the USB end of the charging cable to the DC power hub. Ensure you use the power connection on the hub, not the programmable connection.

Connect the Type-C end of the cable to the customer display tablet.

Install the Plastic Clip

Flip the tablet over to expose the back.

Locate the black plastic clip provided in the package.

Remove the top red layer from the double-sided tape from the back of the black clip.

Position the clip in the center of the tablet and press firmly to secure it in place.

Connect the Tablet to the Stand

The stand has an "X" shaped slot for the customer display (CDS).

Mount the tablet's CDS bracket onto the stand by placing it into the "X" slot.

Rotate the CDS to clip it securely onto the stand.

The Customer display should then look like this once fully installed.

Additional Notes

  • Each tablet is pre-configured and tested by the Octopos team.

  • Refer to the provided reference image to confirm proper setup.
