A unit of measure is used to sell and purchase products with different units. For example, you can have a product called Bud Light 10oz with single bottle as a unit, or 6 Pack as a unit. They both can have different prices and barcode, yet it’s just same product.
Navigate to Settings
Once logged in, locate the menu on the left side of the screen, Click on the "Settings" option.
Go to Global Settings
In the Settings menu, find and click on "Global."
Access Unit of Measure Settings
On the Global page, look for the "Unit of Measure Settings" option, Click on it to open the Unit of Measure Settings page.
Add a New Unit of Measure
On the Unit of Measure Settings page, find and click on the "Add" icon .
Enter Details for the New Unit of Measure
Fill in the required field with the detail of the new unit of measure.
- Default Base Unit: Clicking the circle icon next to a unit will turn it blue, setting it as the default for new products.
- Name: Enter the unit's name (e.g., "case" or "12-pack of soda").
- Action: Before deleting a unit, check if it's assigned to any products. If it is, it cannot be deleted.
Save the New Unit of Measure
Once all the details are entered, click the "Submit" button to create the new unit of measure.
