Troubleshooting Kitchen Display (KDS)
Step 1: Check Wi-Fi Connection
- Ensure both the kitchen display and the cashier's display are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Step 2: Restart Your Route
Unplug the power cable from the router.
Wait for about 10 seconds.
Plug the power cable back in and wait for the router to restart.
Verify that both the Cashier Tablet and the Kitchen Display Tablet are connected again.
Step 3: Verify IP Addresses
- Check the IP address on the Kitchen Display tablet.
- Open the Octopos application on the cashier's tablet and click on the menu button.
- Go to the menu and click on the "Add KDS" button.
- Ensure the IP address on the KDS is the same as displayed on the "Add KDS" page.
Step 4: Configure KDS Category Settings
- Open the “OctoKDS” App and click on settings.
- Once you are on settings click on “items on tickets”.
- Make sure all items that need to be shown on the Kitchen Display are set to "ON" in the Kitchen Display category settings.
